Weather and air-quality data are requested directly by your browser from Open-Meteo. Earthquake data are requested directly by your browser from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Your IP address is therefore technically transmitted to those services. Where the GDPR applies, this processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is providing the live information shown on this website.
Official tsunami bulletins are retrieved server-side from the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). The website filters and formats the JMA data for this display; the visitor's browser does not connect directly to JMA for this feature. JMA is the official source, but this website is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by JMA.
The VT323 and Noto Sans JP fonts are hosted locally. Loading them does not establish a connection to Google.
Weather, air-quality and earthquake information is provided for information and demonstration purposes only. The experimental USGS seismic indicator is not an official warning. JMA tsunami information is an automated, filtered and visually formatted reproduction of official source data; it may be delayed, incomplete or temporarily unavailable. DATA UNAVAILABLE does not mean that no warning exists. In an emergency, always verify the current situation through official JMA channels and follow instructions issued by the competent authorities.
